Our Services Product Consultation and Installation The bulk of our business is dedicated to helping our customers find what their looking for. We are with our customers from the very beginning—meeting and consulting with them, taking measurements and ordering or custom making products, and finally, through installation. But our service doesn’t end there. We provide a full line of awning services, which include repair and cleaning, storage with inspection and maintenance as required for products we sell.
Wash & Recondition Awnings Window and Porch Shades Awnings and other protective products need to be cleaned and maintained to extend their life. We wash and recondition awnings and other products to have them looking like new again. For the do-it-yourself type, this can be done at home with laundry soap and a scrub brush. After gently scrubbing down the fabric, rinse well and air dry. Afterwards you can renew the water repellency with 303 Fabric Guard or 303 Aerospace Protectant, which can be purchased at our shop.
Awning Recovers In most cases, we can reuse your awning frames as long as they are in good condition. We clean them up and reskin the frames with your choice of fabric.
Canvas Repairs We can repair almost any canvas or heavy duty fabric. We recommend you call or email us first and give us a description of the repair needed. We do not repair trampolines or seat belts.
Storage & Reinstallation Some of our customers prefer to have their awnings removed for the winter. We provide this service for a fee based on time involved plus a fixed storage cost. We will remove your awnings & look them over for signs of wear or damage. If damage is found, you will be contacted with an approximate cost for repairs. You can choose to have these repairs made or not. Your awnings will then be stored in a clean dry storage area until you call us in the spring to have them reinstalled—this truly extends the life of your awnings.
Consultation Services Design work for our customers is included with each job. Consulting fees for projects not executed by Dave Long Protective Products begin at a $100 per hour.
